yummy, yummy, yarn...

A few more items finished and ready to stock for Shizz.Knitz Grand Opening on October 1st....

These yarns are all 100% Peruvian Highlands Wool, dyed with food grade dyes and heat set to avoid bleeding.

I call this one "Color Wheel" because I put red, blue and yellow dye on the yarn and watched as the colors combined beautifully to create a color wheel of yarn....  this yarn is red, blue and yellow, with green, purple and orange where the colors meet.

This one I dyed with my 3rd son in mind, and was going to name it after him, but I keep looking at it and thinking of a warm but refreshing summer breeze, so this one is affectionately named "Summer Breeze".  I used blue, light blue and yellow, and allowed the blue and yellow to flow together in a few spots to create a touch of green.

This yarn did not turn out the way I had planned, the red came out too light so it looks more pinkish, and the black bled into green in some places and mixed with the red to create a purple hue.  This yarn turned out SO different than I had planned, but SO beautiful too!  With Red, pink, black, green, purple and white, I have decided to name this yarn, "Holly Berry" because it reminds me so much of Christmas.
